Revenue Officers Designated as Central Excise Officers Supersedes Notification No. 61/63 CE dated 20/4/1963 Notification No. 54/99-CE(NT) Dated 22nd September, 1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, and in supersession of the notification number 61/63-Central Excise, dated the 20th April, 1963, the Central Board of Excise and Customs, hereby appoints for the purposes of rule 56, sub-rule 6 of rule 83, rule 85 and rule 197 of the said Rules, the following officers, as Central Excise Officers, namely:- I. Director (Revenue Laboratories), Central Revenue Control Laboratory, New Delhi. II. Joint Director (Selection Grade), Joint Director, Chemical Examiners (Grade-1), Chemical Examiners (Gradc-II), Assistant Chemical Examiners and Chemical Assistants of- (a) Central Revenue Control Laboratory, New Delhi; and (b) Customs House Laboratories, Calcutta, Chennai, Mumbai, Okha, Cochin, Kandla and Digboi.
