How to withdraw appeal under vivad se viswas scheme

  • Contents

I submitted a declaration for settlement under the Vivad Se Viswas Scheme and Certificate was issued by DA to pay the amount and we remitted the amount by challan. Next step is to declare and attach under Form 4 the proof of payment and proof withdrawal of appeal pending before CIT(A).

Please let me know the procedure to withdraw appeal pending before the CIT(A) thru IT website and the format of letter if any to be attached.Tnx in Advance.

In our view you would have to write a letter to the Jurisdictional Income Tax Commissioner for approval of your request for withdrawing of your application under the VsV Scheme. Following link may be helpful to you thought there is no information about withdrawing it online.

Mr Suresh

Apology for delayed reply

The form 3 received from department u/s 5(1) of VSV Act, 2020, itself is the proof of withdrawal of appeal filed before CIT(A) as per section 4(2) of the Act.
