What is the limit of LTA a salaried employee  can claim in a year . Is it a percentile of the basic or fixed to be availed twice in a block of 4 years.

LTA has to be availed twice in a block of 4 years. Currently from 2010 - 2013 is the block year for claiming the LTA.

Yes, LTC can be availed twice in a 4 year block period, but one is for Home Town LTC and the other is for All INdia LTC.

Wanted to know what is the Limit of the amount a salaried employee can claim ? Is it linked to

- a percentile of the basic or

- is it limited by an X amount t one can claim in a year or

- is it the actuals that can be claimed.
