MINISTRY OF LAW, JUSTICE AND COMPANY AFFAIRS (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 22nd February, 2002/Phalguna 3, 1923 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament, after having been ratified by the Legislatures of not less than one-half of the States by resolutions to that effect, received the assent of the President on the 21st February, 2002 and is hereby published for general information: THE CONSTITUTION (EIGHTY-FOURTH AMENDMENT) ACT, 2001 [21st February, 2002.] An Act further to amend the Constitution of India. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title . This Act may be called the Constitution (Eighty-fourth Amendment) Act, 2001.
