Customs and Central Excises Laws (Amendment) Act, 1988 - Date of enforcement Notification No. 18/88-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 29-6-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Customs and Central Excises Laws (Amendment) Act, 1988 (29 of 1988), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of July, 1988, as the date on which all the provisions of the said Act, except Sections 4, 5, 11, 12 and 16 thereof, shall come into force.
