Amendment to Notification No. 214/86-C.E. [G.E. No. 36] Notification No. 145/90-C.E. Dated 17-9-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 214/86-Central Excises, dated the 25th March, 1986, namely :- In the said notification, in Explanation II, - (a) in clause (iii), the word "or" occurring at the end shall be omitted; (b) in clause (iv), for the word "gases", the words "gases; or" shall be substituted; (c) after clause (iv), the following clause shall be inserted, namely :- "(v) bags or sacks made out of fabric (whether or not coated, covered or laminated with any other material) woven from strips or tapes of plastics."
