Amendment to Notification Nos. 188A/62-C.E. and 53/87-C.E. Notification No. 251/88-C.E. Dated 16-9-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification, for the words "nylon yarn", the words "nylon yarn or polypropylene multi-filament yarn" shall be substituted. 2. 53/87-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1987 In the Table annexed the said notification, against Sl. No. 15, - (i) for the entry under column (2), the entry "54.02 and 5404.91 to 5404.97" shall be substituted; (ii) for the entry under column (3), the entry "Polypropylene multi-filament yarn and viscose filament yarn" shall be substituted; (iii) in column (4), for the words "viscose filament yarn", the words "polypropylene multi-filament yarn or viscose filament yarn" shall be substituted.
