Exemption to sulphuric acid used in the manufacture of fertilizer Notification No. 220/88-C.E. Dated 22-6-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 81/75-Central Excises, dated the 22nd March, 1975, namely :- In the said notification, the following Explanation shall be added at the end, namely :- "Explanation : For the purpose of this notification, the expression 'Fertilisers' shall have the same meaning assigned to it under the Fertiliser (Control) Order, 1985."
