Amendment to Notification No. 119/88-C.E. [ Ch. 85] Notification No. 154/88-C.E. Dated 28-4-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-rule (1) of Rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 119/88-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1988, namely :- In the said notification. - (i) for the portion beginning with the words "from so much of the duty of excise" and ending with the figures and words "10 per cent ad valorem", the words "from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule" shall be substituted; (ii) the following paragraph shall be inserted at the end, namely :- "2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of the 31st day of March, 1989.".
