Amendments to Notification Nos. 67/83-C.E.; 60/86-C.E.; 64/86-C.E., 68/86-C.E.; 162/86-C.E.; 167/86-C.E.; 228/86-C.E.; 261/86-C.E.; 319/86-C.E., 469/86-C.E. Notification No. 125/88-C.E. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 01. 67/83-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1983. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 05, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 1.50", the words and figures "Rs. 1.00" shall be substituted. 02. 60/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the words and figures "sub-heading No. or heading No. 8302.10, 8304.91, 94.01", the words and figures "heading No. 94.01" shall be substituted. 03. 64/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, (i) in Sl. No. 1, in column (2), for the figures and word "84.43 or 84.48", the figures "84.42" shall be substituted; (ii) Sl. Nos. 2, 4, 5 and 6 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted. 04. 65/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 5 for the entry in column (2), the entry "internal combustion engines of engine capacity not exceeding 50 CC designed for use as prime mover for transport vehicles and given for that purpose some special shape,size or quality which would not be essential for their use for any other purpose" shall be substituted. 05. 162/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) in S. No. 19, in column (4), for the word and figures "Rs. 1,000", the word and figures "Rs. 500" shall be substituted; (ii) after S. No. 19 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "20. 87.05 Drilling rigs mounted on motor vehicle chassis 15% — 06. 167/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) in S. No. 2, in column (2), the figures "83.15", shall be omitted; (ii) after S. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) "4. Bells, gongs and the like, non-electric, of base metal; statuettes and other ornaments, of base metal; photograph, picture or similar frames, of base metal; mirrors of base metal, falling within Chapter 83." 07. 228/86-Central Excises, dated the 3rd April, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 7 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted. 08. 261/86-Central Excises, dated the 24th April, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, S. No. 4 and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted. 09. 319/86-Central Excises, dated the 22nd May, 1986. In the proviso to the said notification for the word "chappals", the word "footwear" shall be substituted. 10. 469/86-Central Excises, dated the 24th December, 1986. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the words "twenty-five per cent, ad valorem ", the figures and words "30 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted.
