Amends Notification Nos. 82/84-C.E., 76/86-C.E. and 431/86-C.E. Notification No. 227/87-C.E. Dated 24-9-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of Rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification, - (i) in the opening paragraph and in clause (i) of proviso, for the words "ocean going vessels", the words, figures and brackets "goods falling under Heading Nos. 89.01, 89.02, 89.04, 89.05 (excluding floating or submersible drilling or production platforms) and 89.06" shall be substituted. (ii) the Explanation shall be omitted. 2. 76/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986. In the Schedule to the said notification, for S. No. 12 and the entry relating thereto, the following S. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "12. Goods falling under Heading Nos. 89.01, 89.02, 89.04, 89.05 (excluding floating or submersible drilling or production platforms) and 89.06." 3. 431/86-Central Excises, dated the 6th October, 1986. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the words "ocean-going vessels", the words, figures and brackets "goods falling under Heading Nos. 89.01, 89.02, 89.04, 89.05 (excluding floating or submersible drilling or production platforms) and 89.06" shall be substituted.
