Extension of certain Central Acts to the designated areas in the continental shelf and exclusive economic zone of India Notification No. 166/87-C.E. Dated 11-6-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (6) of section 6 and clause (a) of sub-section (7) of section 7 of the Territorial Waters, Continental Shelf, Exclusive Economic Zone and other Maritime Zones Act, 1976 (80 of 1976), the Central Government hereby extends the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Mineral Products (Additional Duties of Excise and Customs) Act, 1958 (27 of 1958) and the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), to the designated areas in the Continental Shelf and Exclusive Economic Zone of India as declared by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of External Affairs, No. S.O. 429(E), dated the 18th July, 1986.
