Amends Notification No. 65/87-CE Notification No. 156/87-C.E. Dated 1-6-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 65/87-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1987, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, after S. No. 09 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted :- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "10. 63.01 Strips of jute Nil If such strips of jute are - (i) made from jute fabrics on which the appropriate duty of excise under the said Schedule has already been paid; and (ii) Intended for supply to the Indian Army".
