Exemption to automotive gas compressors Notification No. 135/87-C.E. Dated 8-5-1987 In exercise of the power conferred by sub-rule (1) of Rule 8 of Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby exempts automotive gas compressors fitted with magnetic clutch and having a displacement capacity not exceeding 165 c.c. and falling under heading No. 84.14 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986) from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule as is in excess of Rs. 2,500 per compressor.
