SEZ notified at Sholinganallur, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu [PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY, PART-II SECTION-3, SUBSECTION (ii)] Government of India Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) New Delhi , dated the 11th April, 2007 NOTIFICATION S.O. 563 (E).Whereas M/s. Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereinafter referred to as the Act, to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Sholinganallur, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under subsection (8) of section 3 of the Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Sholinganallur, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu, on 30th May, 2006; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the following area at Sholinganallur, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, as a Special Economic Zone, namely: Table Name of Village Survey Field No. Area (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) Sholinganallur 602/3 152.66.5 (F.No. F.2/4/2006-EPZ) Anil Mukim, Joint Secretary to the Government of India. ***************** NOTES:- 1.
