Juridictional Powers Changed - 023/99 - Central Excise - TariffExtract Juridictional Powers Changed NOTIFICATION NO. 23/1999-CE Dated 11/05/1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that references to the authorities specified in column (2) of the Table below in the notifications of the Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), issued under sub-section (1) of section 5A of the said Act shall, unless the context otherwise requires, the construed as references to the authorities specified in corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table, TABLE S.No. Existing authorities Substituted authorities (1) (2) (3) 1.
