Goods containing not more than 10% betel nut by weight and not containing tobacco in any proportion NOTIFICATION NO. 28/1999-CE Dated 08/06/1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.27/97-Central Excise, dated the 7th May, 1997, namely:- In the said notification, after the opening paragraph and before the Annexure, the following shall be inserted, namely:- 2. This notification shall not be applicable to goods containing not more than 10% betel nut by weight and not containing tobacco in any proportion.
