NRI Remittance to India

As per information received from Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs the amount remitted to India in the last financial year (2009-10) from the NRIs working abroad was 40810 USD million (Approx.) 

Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has informed that no data is available for remittance from the Gulf Countries. 

This information was given by the Minister of State for Finance, Shri Namo Narain Meena in written reply to a question raised in Rajya Sabha today.
