What's the headline? Shrey and the Southampton University Students’ Union have entered into a significant three-year partnership, with the option to extend for a further two years. This collaboration will provide high-quality sportswear and equipment featuring cutting-edge technology, ensuring access to top-tier gear across 75 sports and beyond. Marking a milestone as the first Indian brand to secure large-scale university tenders globally, this agreement further strengthens Shrey’s international presence and opens new opportunities in performance sportswear. How did it happen? With a remarkable stature in international cricket, Shrey Sports shines as a leading sports brand that believes in innovation and repeatedly becomes the first choice of cricket legends like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, and countless others. Building upon their 10+ years legacy of successful collaborations with esteemed institutions like Kings College London, London School of Economics, Devon Cricket Foundation, along with corporates like Freshworks, and Porsche AG, and many others, Shrey shook hands with SUSU with a promise to reinvigorate the spirit of passion. Having launched Shrey Sport's multi-sport offering along with the Shrey Care sustainability initiative, Southampton timed it perfectly, launching their tender just as the experts at Shrey were adding the finishing touches to their exquisite offering. After extensive discussions and tender presentations, it was concluded that Shrey offered the ideal blend of quality and ambitious standards, perfectly aligning with the University's vision. Founder & Owner, Shrey Global - Raghav Kohli remarked, “We are deeply honoured to partner with SUSU and are ready to bring our expertise, passion, and vision to this partnership. This milestone not only reinforces our global ambitions but also sets the foundation for long-term success in the university teamwear sector.” Key initiatives of the Shrey-SUSU collaboration: Shrey and SUSU are working together to support over 9,000 students in expanding their participation in internal sports and university tournaments. This partnership aims to nurture talent and create new opportunities. Player Safety & Sustainability Shrey Care sustainability program, focuses on eco-friendly practices, responsible sourcing, and reducing environmental impact in line with ISO 14001:2015 standards. Committed to athlete safety, Shrey provides certified protective gear, including British standard-compliant cricket helmets, IRB-approved rugby equipment, and CE-certified hockey gear, ensuring the highest industry standards are met. A Game-Changing Team Effort: Mike Humble, Head of Teamwear at Shrey knows only too well how competitive this market is. “I’ve been involved in University Teamwear tenders for over 25 years so it was no surprise to me to learn just how many businesses were involved in the SUSU tender process. Winning this contract, especially at our first attempt to secure a full multi-sport University tender, reinforces our belief that Shrey has such a strong offering in this space.” Mike went on to say “It was also refreshing to get the feedback from SUSU that we didn’t just come first in a race on price; our product quality, online ordering/returns, and experienced account management shone through in the scoring. We are so excited to be working with Team Southampton for the next 3+ years.” Conor White, VP Sports at SUSU added “Shrey came to us with a compelling service provision, fantastic quality samples, and a commitment to steer us through this rebranding of Team Southampton. Mike, Matt, and the team at Shrey have given us every confidence that our student clubs are in very safe hands and we can’t wait to see the teams running out in their new Shrey kit”. #BleedBurgundy Shrey and Southampton University Student's Union are deeply committed to developing an environment of passion and opportunity for all young athletes. Like Shrey's latest collaboration and victory with the Odisha Warriors Women's team in the Hockey India League (HIL), this new partnership will continue to nurture talent and help them grow into champions. This agreement stands as a testament to both institutions' commitment to fostering the next generation of athletes through advanced innovation and collaboration.
