applicability of TDS, Income Tax

we have purchased a RICOH made xerox machine for office purpose at a cost of Rs3,67,000.00.from a DGS&D dealer .

i would like to know whether it attracts TDS,if so under what rule.

Dear Mr Chakravarthy

Purchases of goods, either capital or otherwise, do not come under the TDS Provisions.  You may purchase the item without making any TDS.
