Recent initiatives of DPD / RMS Facilitation Centre for trade facilitation - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 30 /2019

As a matter of trade facilitation and Government policy of Ease Of Doing Business , DPD / RMS Facilitation Centre of JNCH, Customs Zone-II, Mumbai has undertaken several measures. The same are outlined hereunder for the benefit of trade - A. Operationalization of one time default intimation to shipping lines by DPD importers at JNCH so that default stacking code indicated in the said intimation can be treated as default stacking code by shipping lines. (JNCH PN No.36/2018 dtd. 09/03/2018 No.156/2018 dtd. 11/12/2018) B. Facility of on wheel sampling at NSICT terminal for DPD clients - Terminal operator NSICT (M/s DP World) has demarcated on-wheel sampling area for DPD FCL containers , wherein samples can be drawn by the Customs / PGAs and subsequently the containers can be allowed to move from Port to desired destination as per convenience of the Importer. (JNCH PN No.63/2018 dtd. 18/04/2018) C. Introduction of facility of priority assessment and priority examination for AEO and DPD clients through online module. (JNCH PN No.117/2018 dtd. 02/08/2018) D. Dispensing with the requirement of documents being submitted at the time of Registration and Out of Charge at DPD/RMS Facilitation Centre and CFSs in view of implementation of e-sanchit. (JNCH PN No.123/2018 dtd. 20/08/2018) E. Provision of unique DPD codes to the importers applicable for all the port terminals. Once DPD code is allotted by JNPCT, intimation of the same along with requisite details and documents is sent to other terminals (NSICT/NSIGT/GTI/BMCT) by JNPCT. There is no need for individual DPD importer to approach each Terminal again for registration with them. (JNCH PN No.125/2018 dtd. 21/08/2018) F. Facility of online application for DPD permission and online processing of the same through introduction of Online DPD Permission Module . (JNCH PN No.128/2018 dtd. 29/08/2018) G. Facility to grant Online Out of Charge (OOC) for AEO and DPD importers by launching Online module for Out of Charge on DPD JNCH website. (JNCH PN No.133/2018 dtd. 26/09/2018) H. Facility of part delivery of containers, if part of the shipment is selected for scanning. (JNCH PN No.155/2018 dtd. 11/12/2018) J. Extension of facility of DPD to AEO importers at JNCH. All AEO (T1, T2, T3) clients operating at JNCH have been granted DPD facility. (JNCH PN No.15/2019 dtd. 15/02/2019) K. Suo motto Out of Charge (OOC) is being endorsed on duty paid RMS facilitated Bs/E which are ready / ripe for OOC. As a precursor to Turant Customs by Board, JNCH is retrieving data of duty paid facilitated Bs/E and granting them suo motto OOC obliviating the need of importer / customs broker approaching this office. Introduction of Online Module on DPD JNCH website for giving facility to Importers / Custom Brokers of viewing scanning status of containers. (JNCH PN No.26/2019 dtd. 14/03/2019) Further, real time co-ordination is done among Importers, Customs Brokers, Shipping lines, CFSs and Port Terminals, to ensure speedy clearance of DPD shipments.
