Customs Act provisions as extended to Central Excise - Amendment to Notification No. 68/63-C.E. Notification No. 48/97-C.E. (N.T.), Dated 2-9-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Central Excises Act, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 68/63-Central Excise, dated 4th May, 1963, namely :- In the said notification, for the words, brackets, letter and figures "clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 142", the words, brackets, letters and figures "clause (b) and sub-clause (ii) of clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 142" shall be substituted.
