(Re-organisation) Date :20-05-2019 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 11/Customs Subject: Customs - Modification of Public Notice No.41/2017-Customs, dt.15.12.2017 changing the location and jurisdiction of CPU at Sullurpet to Kurnool - Reg. It is to inform to all the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents, Custodians/Customs Cargo Service Providers, Trade Associations / Chamber of Commerce, Members of the RAC/PGC and the Public, that the Public Notice No.41/2017-Customs, dt.15.12.2017 was issued regarding Re-organisation of Customs Commissionerate (Preventive), Vijayawada, consequent on transferring the customs functions hitherto handled by the Central Excise Offices / formations post implementation of GST. 2. In partial modification of the Public Notice No-41/2017, the Customs Preventive Unit, Sullurpet, mentioned in Para 4 (Tirupathi Division) of the aforesaid Public Notice is merged with Customs Preventive Unit, Nellore. The Customs Preventive Unit, Nellore, is to look after the Customs Preventive and Anti Smuggling work, sea patrolling, coastal patrolling surveillance etc., in the entire SPSR Nellore District. 3. In partial modification of Sl.No.7 of Para No.3 and SI.No.3, 4 5 of Para No.4 (Tirupathi Division) of the Public Notice No.41/2017, a new Customs Preventive Unit will function from Kurnool, having jurisdiction over Kadapa, Kurnool and Ananthapur in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The Customs Preventive Unit at Kurnool, hence will look after the Customs Preventive and Anti Smuggling work, surveillance etc., in the entire Districts of YSR Kadapa, Kurnool and Ananthapur. The Customs Preventive Unit, Kurnool is also an Export Facilitation Unit at Kurnool for the Districts of YSR Kadapa, Kurnool and Ananthapur in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
