Paper and Paperboard and Cement - Amendments to Notification Nos. 138/86-C.E, 24/91-C.E. Notification No. 80/93-C.E. Dated 30-3-1993 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the proviso to the said notification, in the clause (v), for the words, brackets and figures "notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 175/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.", the words, bracket and figures "the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 175/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986 or No. 1/93-Central Excises, dated the 28th February, 1993." shall be substituted. 2. No. 24/91-Central Excises, dated the 25th July, 1991. In the second proviso to the said notification, in clause (b), for the words and figures "No. 175/86- Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986.", the words and figures "No. 175/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986 or No. 1/93-Central Excises, dated the 28th February, 1993." shall be substituted. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2. 1993.
