Hookah Tobacco - Excise Duty Withdrawn Notification No.30/99-CE Dated 10th June, 1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government on India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.5/99-Central Excise, dated the 28th February, 1999, namely:- In the said notification, in the Table, after serial number 8 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) 8A 2404.99 Tobacco, used for smoking Through 'hookah' or 'chilam', Commonly known as 'hookah' Tobacco or 'gudaku'.
