Rescinds Exc Ntf No. 50/1997-Cen Dated 1-8-1997 Notification No. 15/2000-CE Dated the 1st March, 2000 G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), no. 50/97-Central Excise, dated the 1st August, 1997, published in the Official Gazette vide number G.S.R. 441 (E), dated the1st August, 1997 on and from the 1st day of April,2000.
