Amendments in the Notification No. 14/2002- CE., (N.T.), dt. 8th March, 2002 (Jurisdiction of CCE) - 062/2003 - Central Excise - Non Tariff

Amendments in the Notification No. 14/2002- CE., (N.T.), dt. 8th March, 2002 (Jurisdiction of CCE) NOTIFICATION NO. 62/2003-CE(N.T.) DATED 19/08/2003 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of rule 3 of the Central Excise Rules, 2002, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) number 14/2002-Central Excise (N.T.), dated the 8th March, 2002, namely: - In the said notification, (i) in Table I, for S.No.22 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: - Sl. No. Chief Commissioner of Central Excise Jurisdiction in terms of Commissioners of Central Excise. (1) (2) (3) "22. Vadodara (i) Daman (ii) Surat I (iii) Surat II (iv) Vadodara I (v) Vadodara II (vi) Vapi." (ii) (a) in Table II, for S.No.24 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: - Sl. No. Commissioner of Central Excise Jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) "24. Daman In the areas of Daman in the Union Territory of Daman and Diu, Valsad district {excluding areas falling on eastern side of National Highway No. 8 surrounded by Daman-Silvassa road in North (Pardi Taluka) and Maharastra border in South (Umbergaon Taluka) and Umbergoan Taluka} and the Dangs district, Navsari district in the State of Gujarat.". (b) in Table II, for S.No.90 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: - Sl. No. Commissioner of Central Excise Jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) "90. Vapi In the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and area falling on eastern side of National Highway No. 8 surrounded by Daman-Silvassa road in North (Pardi Taluka) and Maharastra border in South (Umbergaon Taluka) and Umbergaon Taluka in the district of Valsad in the state of Gujarat .". (iii) In Table III, for Sr. No.70 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: - Sl. No. Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals) Commissioner of Central Excise (1) (2) (3) "70. Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals), Vapi Vapi.". F.No. [208/2/2003-CX.6] Note : The principal notification No. 14/2002-Central Excise (N.T.) dated the 8th March, 2002 was issued vide G.S.R. 182 (E), dated the 8th March, 2002 and was last amended vide notification No 31/2003-Central Excise (N.T.) dated the 9th April, 2003 [G.S.R. 325(E), dated the 9th April, 2003].
